The IAS Football Team ended their season in spectacular fashion with a 6-4 win against the Mountpart All Stars. Over 200 supporters were in attendance to see the much anticipated fixture hosted by Mountpark at QPR, Loftus Road.

Recent fixtures had suggested that the IAS were not the favourites to win this fixture, although following a new managerial appointment saw Alex Schofield (Knight Frank) at the helm who brought in a couple of new faces to the match day squad.

The IAS settled into the first half relatively quickly and showed early signs of quality, a chance was taken by Tom Kennedy (Knight Frank) soon after the 10 minute mark with a calm finish to put the IAS ahead. The IAS were troubled at times from a sharp looking Mountpark front line but an on form skipper, Tom Shaw (JLL) pulled off a number of game defying saves which saw all 4 sides of Loftus Road on their feet. A deserved goal by Ben Clark goal brought it level for Mountpark on the half hour mark before Chris Beamer (CBRE) put the IAS back in front just before half time. 2-1 at the break.

The second half was very much business as usual, Mountpark were attacking but struggled to break down an experienced back line lead by Alex Kington (Altus). Against the run of play The IAS made chances with some key passes by veteran playmaker Chris Knight (C&W). Further goals Oliver Smith (Knight Frank) on the hour mark, followed by a Sam Baly (SHW) strike at 65 minutes. Mountpark scored a further 3 goals in the second half, Chris Jones (63), Ben Clark (70) Chris Jones (76). In the final 10 minutes an excellent cross was executed by Kennedy where Baly connected for a second goal (80) and a solo effort for his third to complete his hat trick (85).

Final Score: IAS 6, Mountpark 4.
