The 2019 IAS Awards luncheon took place on Thursday 26th September at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square. This year’s event kicked off with live coverage of the England v USA World Cup Rugby match, which set the scene for a high-spirited and very enjoyable day! A huge thank you to all 554 attendees and to all those who took time to submit their entries for an Award. The number of entries received has increased again this year, which is testament to the value and success of these Awards.

This year the IAS is proud to be supporting the Malcolm Gunter Foundation. In May 2017 our dear friend Malcolm Gunter was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease - a most devastating and misunderstood condition. Just 12 months later in May 2018 Malcolm passed away. The Foundation raises money to provide specialist medical care to sufferers of Motor Neurone Disease, family support and grants for research into this awful disease.

Many thanks also to all the sponsors for their generosity who, without them the event could not be staged.

These Awards are one of the most important events in the IAS calendar and are staged to showcase the best of our sector, by providing examples of not only profitable deal making but also to demonstrate where solutions can be found in often challenging circumstances.

IAS Chairman, Peter Freeman, opened the occasion with a welcome speech and then handed over to Sally Angel James who gave an update on the Henry Angel James Memorial Trust and the funding of AED’s.

The awards were hosted by the near legendary presenter of Sky Sports News’ Saturday football coverage, Jeff Stelling, who kept the audience highly entertained throughout proceedings.

Thanks also go to this year’s judges, Colin Beasley, Danielle Sheppard, Fergie Taylor, Jeff Penman, and Chris Davies for their time and expertise. It is greatly appreciated.

It was fantastic to see so many people at this year’s event. Preparations for the IAS Awards 2020 are already underway and we are looking forward to seeing everyone again next year.

Many congratulations once again to all the Award winners. The gallery of pictures From the event can be seen by clicking this link 2019AWARDS
