Great Sadness Amongst IAS Members Following the Death of David Baron

David Keith Baron born 24 February 1938 died suddenly on 10 December 2020 of a stroke at home in Hever, Kent, aged 82.

David was joint Senior Partner of Mills & Wood (now Grant Mills Wood) between 1969 and 1983 and a major figure in the world of industrial agency. He was a member of the RICS and of the Industrial Agents Society as well as a long term committee member of the 100 Property Club.

Schooled at Tiffins School, Kingston, his career began at Leighton Goldhill, working under Jack Goldhill then to Mellersh & Harding, a brief spell at Davis & Co and then to Mills & Wood. He developed particular skills in rent review work.

A keen golfer, David was a member of various of the property golfing societies including the St James’s. He was also an accomplished squash player.

He leaves a wife, Jackie.
