Great Sadness Amongst IAS Following The Death of James Swallow

Back to News

Ben Wiley

It is with very great sadness we announce the death of one of our members, James Swallow who unexpectedly passed away this weekend.

James was a well-known, popular and respected member of the IAS having worked at LSH, Bidwells Drake, King Sturge, JLL, CBRE, Avison Young and a former member of the National committee. He represented everything that was great about being part of our industry making a valued contribution over the years.

A man larger than life who, if you had the pleasure of working with or socializing with immediately became a close friend. He had a wicked sense of humor and will be sorely missed by all those lucky enough to have spent time with him.Our most heartfelt wishes are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

Details of the funeral arrangements are below: -The funeral is being held on Monday 7th August at 1:30pm at:-

St Mary’s Church

Main Street

Great Brington

Parking is difficult – there are a few spaces at the back of the church and on the street but the church is in a little village so get there early if you are driving.

After the church service there will be drinks at: -

Saracens Head

Main Street

Little Brington

There are to be absolutely NO flowers and if anyone wants to make a donation to charity then please do so at your discretion to The British Heart Foundation.

We have been told to advise people attending not to wear black. Colour is the order of the day as this is a celebration of James' life.

The family has set up a Just Giving page in memory of James for the British Heart Foundation. Donations can be made via the link below
