Former IAS Chairman Chris Bennett Dies

Chris Bennett, IAS Chairman 1988 and 1989 died in April 2014, aged 69.

Chris worked at Richard Ellis in London when he was IAS Chairman and in 1991 he settled in Budapest, Hungary, where he perfected the language, joined DTZ and ultimately joined Europa Capital in Budapest.

A memorial service was held on October 2, at Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Street, London SW1 and afterwards Europa Capital generously hosted a reception for those attending the service.

Among the c.200 who attended the service were several former IAS Chairman and many others connected with the property industry.  Former IAS Chairman Michael Bellegarde gave a personal tribute to the congregation.
